NOW ENROLLING: The Adventure KIDs Choir
The ADVENTURE KIDS CHOIR is an after school singing group with a nature conservation mission. The motto, “We sing for the trees” is just the tip of the iceberg. We join our voices together so our song and message about saving the planet can be amplified. Our concerts are not limited to indoor stages, we sing in the fields, in the trees and on the water in an effort to bring our concern about climate change to audiences that might not choose to go to a choral performance.
We are students from around the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. This Fall a second Kids Choir was offered at Seven Stars Arts Center in Sharon, VT. Our ages range from Kindergarten through Middle School. We play games, we talk about the future. We will be writing our legislators, attending protests and creating meaningful visuals to enhance our performances.
HISTORY: Our group started in the Spring of 2019 at the Fairlee Town Hall. We formed to join the professional chorus, Counterpoint, in their Climate Outreach concert Six Degrees. The program included spoken word and songs from a variety of composers and styles. It was a huge hit.
This year we take our voices into the wild. Stay tuned for more about that.
If you or someone you know are interested in joining the Adventure Kids Choir. Send our director Megan Helm an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Tell us about yourself and why you’d like to join. Then join us at the UC Church on Thetford Hill on Thursdays starting January 31st from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. The choir is free but we hope you consider donating money to our choral cause to offset expenses.
Can’t wait to hear from you!
